International Accreditation Network of Hamadan University of Medical Sciences
Introduction
To create unified procedures, inter-sectoral synergy, and transformation in processes related to quality control and international accreditation programs, the International Accreditation Network of Hamadan University of Medical Sciences has been established. This network has three main levels.
Level 1: International Accreditation Council of the University
Members
- University Chancellor (Council Chair) or their representative
- Vice Chancellor for International Affairs (Council Secretary)
- Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology
- Vice Chancellor for Education
- Vice Chancellor for Management and Resource Development
- Vice Chancellor for Student and Cultural Affairs
- Director of International Ranking and Accreditation
- Three to five faculty members nominated by the Vice Chancellor for International Affairs
Council Duties
- Approving programs to identify and introduce the university's educational, research, and health service capabilities
- Developing and approving programs to enhance university performance based on international rankings
- Selecting and approving valid international ranking and accreditation systems
- Policy-making and goal-setting for continuous monitoring of university academic performance
- Collaborating in developing international interactions in educational, research, and health service domains
- Policy-making for internationalization of faculties and research centers activities
Level 2: International Accreditation Secretariat
Secretariat Duties
- Studying and researching quality control and international accreditation processes
- Identifying quality control and accreditation systems worldwide
- Identifying international accreditation networks and organizations
- Empowering staff in quality control and international accreditation
- Designing operational plans for quality control and international accreditation
- Monitoring, supervising, and preparing quality and accreditation performance reports
- Providing continuous improvement solutions for university quality control
Level 3: Liaisons of Vice Chancellorships and Faculties
Duties of Vice Chancellorship Liaisons
- Collaborating and coordinating with the International Accreditation Secretariat
- Identifying international accreditation standards in the responsible unit
- Implementing international accreditation processes in the relevant domain
- Conducting self-assessment and data collection
- Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis and data analysis
- Developing continuous improvement and standardization programs
- Communicating with accreditation liaisons in faculties
Duties of Faculty Liaisons
- Implementing and operationalizing international accreditation programs in the faculty
- Maintaining continuous communication with relevant vice chancellorships
- Monitoring the implementation of improvement programs at faculty level
- Submitting periodic reports to the Accreditation Secretariat
- Collaborating in collecting accreditation evidence and documentation
