The Specialized Committee meeting of the Deputy for International Affairs at Hamadan University of Medical Sciences was held on Saturday, June 8, 2025, to address the most important issues related to educational, research, and student affairs, with the presence of the Deputy for International Affairs, managers, and relevant experts.

For the first time, international students at Hamadan University of Medical Sciences participated in a memorable recreational-cultural camp, visiting Ali Sadr Cave, the largest navigable water cave in the world, and the Nature Village Zoo. This event, aimed at boosting morale and familiarizing international students with the natural and tourist attractions of Iran, was met with significant enthusiasm from the students.

According to the Public Relations of the International Affairs Department, a specialized meeting of the Accreditation Committee was held focusing on planning for the re-evaluation of medical programs. This meeting was convened following the cancellation of the external evaluation for the MBBS program, which was scheduled for May 14 and 15. The new evaluation for the General Medicine program will take place simultaneously with the MBBS program in July of this year.

A meeting was held in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor for International Affairs of Hamadan University of Medical Sciences, the head of the accreditation working group of the Faculty of Medicine, the director of Besat Hospital, and the hospital's deputies, along with managers and experts. This meeting addressed the educational, cultural, and scientific challenges faced by non-Iranian students and the MBBS program accreditation process.

The appointment of student mentors at the International Affairs Department of Hamadan University of Medical Sciences was officially granted to selected students during a formal meeting. In this session, the roles and responsibilities of the mentors were thoroughly presented and discussed.

In line with the planning for the evaluation and accreditation of the MBBS program at Hamadan University of Medical Sciences, an important meeting was held on April 20, 2025, with officials from the International Affairs Office and the Faculty of Medicine. This meeting aimed to coordinate key actions, including preparing documents, assessing experts' readiness, securing equipment, and establishing communication and coordination with the evaluators from the Ministry of Health. The accreditation process is scheduled for May 14 and 15, 2025, which is the focus of these preparations.

According to the Public Relations Office of the International Affairs department, the Director of Accreditation and Ranking and a delegation visited Besat Hospital. During this visit, they closely examined the educational processes and practical facilities, engaging in discussions with students to gather feedback on the educational conditions.

The Vice-Chancellor for International Affairs, along with the Vice-Chancellor for Student and Cultural Affairs, the Head of Support and Welfare Services from the Development Vice-Chancellery, and the Secretary of the National Accreditation and Educational Standards Development Working Group, conducted an inspection visit to the dormitories of international students at Shahid Mobasher Kashani (male dormitory) and Reihaneh 1 (female dormitory) to assess current conditions, review corrective measures, and evaluate welfare facilities. Following the visit, a direct dialogue session was held with students to listen to their concerns and suggestions firsthand.

A group of Afghan international students at Hamadan University of Medical Sciences held a ceremony to honor Ms. Fasihi, the Head of International Student Affairs, with a commemorative gift in recognition of her efforts.
